Lemon Tree Patio is situated in Olvera, to the North-East of the popular tourist city Ronda. Olvera is a traditional rural Spanish town, spilling down the hill from the Arab Castle and beautiful church. Both these incredible buildings can be seen on the horizon from many miles around, making them the town’s major focal points.

Olvera is located approximately 30 minutes to 1 hour drive from airport destinations such as Malaga, Sevilla, Cadiz, Jerez de la Frontera and Gibraltar.

The Costa del Sol and Costa de la Luz, located on the Mediterranean and Atlantic Coasts respectively, are within a comfortable drive.

Food & Drink

Olvera has a delightful selection of cafes, bars & restaurants, most within easy walking distance of Lemon Tree Patio.

Our favourites include:

Bar El Patio – at the top of the high street, El Patio is a great call for breakfast with the Jamon & Queso toasties a particular favourite!

Bar La Plaza – just a stones throw from the church and castle, Bar La Plaza offers traditional Spanish tapas and cold cervezas (beer) in a beautiful courtyard setting.

Shopping

There are many small independent food stores dotted around the old town’s narrow winding roads, with the largest commercial supermarket situated in the new end of town.

The cobbled high street is home to two banks with ATM machines, a tobacconist and a great selection of independent clothing and home stores.

Major tourism has yet to invade the streets of Olvera, so gift shops are not a common sight.

Olvera Swimming | Lemon Tree Patio

Swimming

Olvera’s municipal pool is open during the summer for at least 3 months.

Lake side bathing is available all year round at the local Zahara de la Sierra. Lake Zahara is a short drive south towards the Grazelema National Park, with a (paid) public activities area and a (free) lakeside car park.

A short drive away in El Gastor is Gastro Bar La Piscina, with a public swimming pool and a phenomenally good bar/restaurant.
